SBS reviewed its radio language services during 2016-17. The Review began in November 2016 with a public consultation to help establish the language Selection Criteria to be used, in conjunction with Census 2016 data, to select which languages would be serviced by SBS Radio from the end of 2017.

As Australia evolves, SBS is committed to reviewing its services after each Census to reflect the demographical changes and to ensure it is supporting new communities who need news and information in language as they navigate life in Australia.

Unfortunately, some languages did not meet the Selection Criteria, including Lithuanian.

For more information about the Review, please go to the SBS Radio Services Review website.

SBS would like to thank the community for its support of the SBS Lithuanianservice over many years.
