The incident occurred on Friday night when a gang of 10 masked thugs allegedly broke into a house at St Albans in Melbourne's north-west where a few Indian origin men were living.

The thugs armed with guns and bats broke into the house and brutally attacked Anish Soni and his housemates.

Anish, who was brutally bashed with the weapons was left with several broken bones that landed him in intensive care. "I was thinking like I am going to die. Couldn't be able to see my family again," says Anish to 7 News Melbourne.

After the intruders fled the scene, the 29 year old Anish, who was profusely bleeding was taken to hospital by his friends where he underwent a blood transfusion.

While Anish was attacked in kitchen, his friends, the two Indian origin brothers were attacked in the bedroom. With the fear of living in the same house, they packed their things and moved the house.

"They told me to lie down on the floor and then again hit the butt of the pistol on my head. They kept on hitting Anish and after that they tied us with the clear tape plastic tape," says one of the victims.

Although they gave their ipad and phone to them, the attackers kept on kicking them on face leaving them injured and traumatized. With no phones in hand, they had to drive to their friend's house before calling the police, reports 7 news.

Forensic police took the finger prints and have found several weapons at the scene.
