McDonald's introduces Masala Dosa Burgers

McDonald’s has introduced Indian breakfast dish Masala Dosa in the form of burgers. This has been included in their McBreakfast menu from January 13.

Indians can now favor their taste buds at McDonald’s too.  The South Indian breakfast dish Masala Dosa has beee  added to Mc Donald’s McBreakfast menu.

According to reports, this new dish has hit the menu list across 44 restaurants starting with Mumbai on January 13th.

To add to its surprise, the traditional masala dosa which is served in the form of pancake with potato filling will be served in the McDonald’s outlets in the form of burgers.

"We continue to look at inspiration from Indian cuisine and bring it as a McDonald's format which will give you flavours from the west but the familiarity of Indian," said Amit Jatia, the BBC News reports.  

Amit Jatia is the Vice-Chairman of Westlife Development that runs McDonald's restaurants in parts of India.

Meanwhile, The Economics Times reports that the new Indian dishes of McDonald's would feature dosa burger and bhurji (masala scrambled eggs).
However, the announcement to introduce Masala Dosa Burger has triggered various responses from the public.
