A team of four Australian police officials investigating the cruel murder of 41 year old software engineer Prabha Arun Kumar have reached Bengaluru to interview the victim’s husband and relatives as part of the investigation, reports The Hindu daily.

According to sources, quoted by the newspaper Australian police strongly suspect she was murdered for a personal reason and will now question 15 people, including Prabha's family members, colleagues and friends in Bengaluru, many of whom were spoken to on their visit to Sydney for her memorial service in 2015.

The officials will also visit Prabha's hometown Amtur in Bantwal. Prabha's family members including her brothers, have been questioned by local police, reports say.

Police revealed last year that they were investigating whether someone in India helped organise the crime.

Prabha, a mother of one was killed at the Paramatta Park in Sydney on March 7, 2015 by an unidentified miscreant. While walking back home from work around 9pm she was on the phone to her husband Arun, who lives in India.

Her valuables, including her vanity bag, wallet, mobile and gold chain were found intact, giving the clue that robbery may not have been the motive behind the murder.

Nearly two years after her death, the incident remains a mystery. Although Australian police have questioned nearly 4000 people it didn't give a lead to the investigation.
