All eyes are on the 12 stadiums in Russia where the 32 best football teams in the world are fighting it out for the 2018 Russia World Cup title.

World Cup has begun and it is fun time for all
Families and friends from the Malayalee community in Australia are getting together to watch their favourite teams compete in the biggest sporting spectacle. As the World Cup progresses the excitement for the fans is reaching its heights.

I am looking forward to see the little magician Leo Messi, who is carrying the hope of many fans around the world, lifting the World Cup. Many football tournaments around World Cup season
Every year Malayalee sporting clubs conduct soccer tournaments. But this year with the World Cup more football activities are taking place.
''Usually we see adults getting involved in football from the Malayalee community more. But this time around, with the World Cup happening there are many youngsters from the community actively engaged in football tournaments and activities'' says Sharlit Puthusseril from Brisbane
Malayalee football clubs in all capital cities in Australia are getting ready for another season of tournaments commencing immediately after the World Cup.

Malayalee fans travelling to Russia for the World Cup
More than 17000 people have bought tickets from India to travel to Russia for the World Cup. Indian legend footballer, IM Vijayan will also be in the stadiums to watch the games. In an interview given to Russian media, I M Vijayan said that football fans from Kerala and West Bengal will be among the visitors from India.
Malayalees from Australia are also heading for the games.
Brothers from Melbourne, Alex Thomas and Ajith Thomas who have bought tickets for the quarterfinal and semifinal matches say that it was a lifetime dream to watch the World Cup and after a year long wait they have got the tickets.
Some Malayalee fans have already reached Russia to support their teams.
Football fans in Kerala create World Cup ambience
Malayalee football fans in Kerala are amongts the most vibrant fans of the sport even though they do not have their country participating in the World Cup.
Painting houses and roads with the colours of the World Cup teams, football fans in Kerala are enjoying the month-long celebrations.
Many have taken leave from their jobs in Gulf countries and come to their homeland to watch matches together in groups.
