Dakshayani the elephant which received the title Gajja Muthassi died at the age of 88 in Kerala. At a time when there is a lot of protest against keeping elephants in captivity, Dakshayani makes this rare record of longevity. Veterinary doctor P Rajeev who was in charge of the treatment for the elephant speaks about the routine that the elephant followed in the final years.
