11 ways to celebrate both Indian Republic Day and Australia Day

26 January marks two important events in every Indian Australian's calendar: Australia Day and Indian Republic Day. Below are 11 different ways you can celebrate both of your cultures, together, in perfect harmony.

1. Go to a community Indian Republic Day / Australia Day joint event.



Several local Indian community organisation are holding parties to celebrate both days. The India Australian Association in Canberra, the Indian Australian Association of NSW in Sydney, as well as the Consulate General of India have events taking place around the country.

 

2. Do some yoga on the beach.



Connect with the Aussie nature and with your Indian Aussie soul.

 

3. Host a barbeque dosa party.
