വെസ്റ്റേൺ ഓസ്‌ട്രേലിയയിൽ വൃത്തിഹീനമായ ചുറ്റുപാടിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ഭക്ഷണശാലകളിൽ നിന്നും ഈ വർഷം പിഴയായി സർക്കാർ പിരിച്ചെടുത്തത് 385,000 ത്തോളം ഡോളറാണ്.
ഇതിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ പിഴയടക്കേണ്ടി വന്നത് മായ മസാല എന്ന ഇന്ത്യൻ റെസ്റ്റോറന്റിനാണ്. വൃത്തിഹീനമായ ചുറ്റുപാടിൽ ഭക്ഷണം സൂക്ഷിക്കുകയും, പരിസരം വൃത്തിയായി സൂക്ഷിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതിനാണ് മായ മസാലക്കെതിരെ കേസുടുക്കുകയും പിഴ ഈടാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തത്.
കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം ജൂൺ മുതൽ ജൂലൈ വരെയുള്ള കാലയളവിൽ ഏതാണ്ട് മൂന്ന് പ്രാവശ്യത്തോളം ഈ റെസ്റ്റോറന്റ് ഫുഡ് ആക്ട് ലംഘിച്ചതായി സിറ്റി ഓഫ് സ്റ്റിർലിംഗിലെ അധികൃതർ കണ്ടെത്തിയിരുന്നു.
ഇതേത്തുടർന്നു ഈ വർഷം മെയിൽ റെസ്റ്റോറന്റിനെതിരെ കേസെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.

കാനിംഗ്ടണിലുള്ള അർബൻ ടർബൻ റെസ്റ്റോന്റിൽ നിന്നും 54,000 ഡോളറാണ് പിഴ ഈടാക്കിയിരുന്നത്. കൂടാതെ, ബെൽമോണ്ടിലെ ടാവെൺ റെസ്റ്റോറന്റിന് 40,000 ഡോളറും , വാർവിക്സിലുള്ള ലിറ്റിൽ ഡ്രാഗൺ എന്ന ചൈനീസ് റെസ്റ്റോറന്റിന് 20,000 ഡോളറുമാണ് കഴിഞ്ഞ മാസം പിഴയടയ്‌ക്കേണ്ടി വന്നത്. വൃത്തിഹീനമായ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചതിനാണ് ഈ ഭക്ഷണശാലകളിൽ നിന്നും പിഴ ഈടാക്കിയത്.

Urban Turban, Cannington - $54,000 for not protecting food from contamination and hand washing breaches.
Belmont Tavern - $40,000 fine for not maintaining standard of cleanliness where there was no accumulation of food waste, dirt and grease.
Subidoo, Subiaco - $40,000 fine for falsely prescribed food which might cause physical harm to a consumer relying on the description
Nando’s, Spearwood - $25,000 for inadequate temperature control, unclean premises, unclean equipment and failure to maintain premises in good state of repair
Little Dragon Chinese Restaurant, Warwick - $20,000 fine for offences including failing to meet hand-washing obligations and cleanliness issues.
IGA Willetton - $15,000 fine for selling food after use by date.
T&T Bakery, Morley - $13,500 in fines relating to cleanliness, maintenance of food premises and handling of food.
Kwinana-Leda Supa IGA - $11,000 for cleanliness non-compliance and selling food past use by date
Farmer Jacks, Subiaco - $12,000 fine for non-compliant labeling of food, non-compliant date-marking on packaging and selling food after use by date
Kalamunda Patisserie - $11,000 fine for cleanliness and maintenance breaches.
