"This pic was taken by my husband Ajish.He has taken this photo when I was 34 week pregnant. I am sitting with my mother in law and enjoying kebab and hot cumin seed water. We bought the takeaway because of my nausea. She came to Darwin just before the corona outbreak in Australia to care us during post delivery time . During my pregnancy I had severe vomiting so I couldn't eat any thing. After she came I started to eat.
Before she coming here my friends and colleagues were saying " Don't bring in law during the post delivery time " due to stigma around Indian mother in laws. Along with that I noted that if possible pravasi's bring only wife's mum for the immediate post delivery care .
Personally I haven't had any thoughts of separation of my birth mum and mother in law. However due to various comments I was bit nervous like all women.
Actually what happened is that she wondered me. I have no words to explain how she is caring me and can't explain the magical bond between us.
The above photo explains all and I was too much happy on that time that is why my husband took this pic to keep a record of our happiness.
If you select this picture I could say to the world and Indian community that please remove the stigma around mother in laws and love them in this year as a theme.
My thought is that after marriage we are getting another mum to our enjoy the second part of life along with birth mum.
