Holy week services and activities

The Maltese community in Victoria and New South Wales, attends to several services and activities leading to Holy Week and Easter Sunday. These include the feast of our Lady of Sorrows, Maundy Thursday and the procession with statues, commemorating the Passion of the Christ on Good Friday. Each of these statues represents a particular episode in the Passion of the Christ. On Easter Sunday a procession with the statue of the Risen Christ is accompanied by band playing festive tunes.
