Loranne Vella’s Rokit crosses genre boundaries

Author Loranne Vella has won the Maltese national book prize in 2018 with her fantasy novel Rokit. She speaks with Joe Axiaq about the multiple themes in the book and the main character, Petrel, who leaves Croatia to explore his grandmother’s Maltese roots. He finds that Malta was under siege by the effects of global warming.
