Victims and their families are being encouraged to speak out as the Royal Commission into Australia’s aged care sector begins. The Royal Commission was established after reports of a number of scandals in the aged care sector, which revealed instances of physical and emotional abuse, neglect, over-medicating residents and physically restraining them.
