A Life Changing Life is a new federal government campaign to encourage Indigenous Australians to consider a career in the care sector, so they can deliver culturally appropriate services to their vulnerable people in need.
The care sector, which includes aged care, disability and veterans’ support is one of the fastest growing in Australia.
It is estimated that with Australia’s ageing population the care and support workforce will grow by around 140 000 workers with tens of thousands of jobs available in regional and remote areas.
In many cases these are jobs than can be done without leaving the community and one can learn on the job, to start a life-changing career.
