Gyms in NSW and QLD have been authorised to re-open, but the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence won’t open its fitness facilities till July 1 to ensure the safety of the community.

Going back to the gym may sound exciting, but the reality may not be so easy.

Tim Murray, Fitness Centre Manager at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE) has confirmed that they won’t be opening their gym until July 1 out of concern for the safety of the community.

He warns that one shouldn’t assume that they’ll be able to start where they left off. However, he stresses, the good news is that it shouldn’t take too long to get back to shape.

And Tim’s tip? “Do something that you enjoy. This way it will be easier to stick to the routine.”
