NITV Radio sat down in the studio with Director of OUR MEDICINE, Kimberley Benjamin, a proud Yawuru, Bardi and Kija woman from Rubibi/Broome.

Kimberley shares many that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health professionals live in two worlds, and this 6 part docu-series and says it, "reiterates that importance, that along side this western health, our mob are still strong and practising our traditions and healing in a different way".

Kimberley also gives some insights on some of the healthcare professionals and the story-lines the series will follow as she and the crew capture the calm and the chaos saying, "that's the deadliest thing about being film makers, we get to just be behind the scenes... seeing things unravelling in real time, its intense, its crazy".

Yarning up about the series Kimberley expresses how much she hopes OUR MEDICINE inspires mob and non-Indigenous viewers saying, "I hope our mob watch the series, feel inspired feel like a strength coming through the screen of our Aboriginal an Torres Strait Islander mob turning up everyday, dedicating their lives to create better outcomes for our mob"

Our Medicine premieres Thursday 29 May at 7.30pm on NITV and SBS, with weekly double episodes.
