Proud Wiradjuri woman, Dr Anita Heiss, is a well known author writing everything from non fiction, historical fiction, adult ficton and also children's novels. Anita is also nominated for Creative of the Year at this years 2023 National NAIDOC Awards.
Anita's first children's picture book, published earlier this month, titled Bidhi Galing, celebrates the Wiradjuri heroes of the Great Flood of Gundagai in 1852.
