The Indigenous Liaison Officer at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra joins NITV Radio's Kerri-Lee Barry (Hegarty) in conversation as they reflect on some of the much respected members of the Hegarty and Bell families who hail from Queensland and served in the Australian Defence Force over the many years and including service in WW1, WW2 and The Vietnam War. 25th April - ANZAC Day 2026 we pay respect to some of our Indigenous service men and women and honour their dedication, commitment and sacrifices for country including that of the late great - Private Valentine Hare from Queensland served in the First World War with the Australian Army in the 2nd Light Horse Regiment, he travelled with the regiment to far away shores of the Middle East to Egypt and Gallipoli.
