Pacific Island leader supports Torres Strait Islander communities' quest for action on climate change

HE Anote Tong, former President of Kiribati and Chairman of the Pacific Elders' Voice has just wrapped up a visit (April 17-24) to Saibai and Boigu Islands at the invitation of community elders as they bring a landmark case against the Australian government demanding emissions reduction in line with the science. The former president lent his support and said Australia needed to do more to cut emissions.
