Yorta Yorta Elder - Aunty Pam urges community to support women with breast cancer.

Aunty Pam, a breast cancer survivor, shares her experience battling the illness and calls on women, especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, to continue the treatment.

Aunty Pams call comes amidst Breast Cancer Awareness Month (01/10-31/10).  The Yorta Yorta Elder is an Ambassador for BCNA (Breast Cancer Network Australia), a not-for-profit organisation that supports Australians affected by breast cancer.

BCNA’s First Nations advisory group promotes s a culturally sensitive approach to breast cancer, thus increasing the likelihood that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women will undertake and continue the treatment.
