The supermaxi Perpetual Loyal has seized line honours in the Sydney-to-Hobart yacht race in record time, taking almost five hours off the previous record.
The Australian vessel crossed the finish line at around 2:30 in the morning, with an official time of one day, 13 hours, 31 minutes and 20 seconds.
