For many Norwegians, Petter Northugs four gold medals in the Nordic World Ski Championships in Sweden was one of last years highlights. He also received two awards at the annual sports gala. Therese Johaug won the award for best female athlete, and the national ski jumping team won an award after doing very well in the world championships.
The Norwegian womens team in handball is now the reigning European, Olympic and world champion.
LSK Kvinner won both the league and the national championship in football, and Rosenborg achieved the same among the men.
2015 was cyclist Alexander Kristoffs big year, and his victories include the prestigious Tour of Flanders.
