Afghanistan 98 percent transport operates privately

Afghanistans transport ministry says they are working on some plan to provide better transport services to all Afghans.


Speaking at the national day of transport and transit the acting minister Hameed Tamasi said his ministry would have some major plans for this sector. Afghan senator Gulalai Akbari said there is widespread corruption in the transport sector, and serious steps are needed to bring reforms in the industry. Some reports say that 98 percent of Afghan transport is operated privately. None of Afghanistans city has a well-operated transport system. Najia Safi has more.
