Asylum seekers are living in limbo at Manus Island detention center

PNG High Court has declared that Australian detention centre on Manus Island is illegal and should be closed. Around 850 asylum seekers are detained in the centre with no certain future. Australian government is maintaining the responsibility for about 850 men in the Manus Island detention facility lies with the Papua New Guinea government.The government is insisting there is no chance the men will be resettled in Australia.We have interviewed Sydney based lawyer Dr Nazir Dawaar to know more about the legal side of this issue.
