Combating Islamophobia one coffee at a time

A coffee shop might seem like an unusual place to combat Islamophobia. But in Western Australia, a local imam believes it's the perfect location to explain his religion and clear up any misunderstandings.


It's 6pm and we're in a coffee shop in Perth's southern suburb of Cockburn (KO-burn). A small group of people have gathered around a table to enjoy their favourite caffeinated beverage. But they're not here to catch up for a chat -- they're here to talk about Islam.
