The FATA merger has sparked some protest in Pakistan where some tribal leaders and residents are protesting to oppose this move and demand to discuss this merger further with tribal residents.

Pakistan government has said that with the FATA merger, tribal area residents will benefit from all resources and services like other Pakistani citizens.
