Divisions within Hizbi Islami Party

The government os Afghanistan and Hezbi Islami have come to a peace agreement after a long-lasting struggle, but yet the Hezbi Islami politically party has come long-lasting peace agreement between Afghan.


Although the leader of Hezbi Islami has assured that he will work for stable peace in Afghanistan, but from day one of this agreement there have been some concerns raised on the come back of this party. Hezbi Islami has gone through some reforms which have sparked some division within the party. Abdul Hadi Arghandewal who claims to be the true leader of the party denounce any reforms and said he would operate under the registered Hezbi Islami Party in Afghanistan. Hezbi Islami has canceled the membership of its some of the high ranking members including Abdul Hadi Arghandewal, Eng. Mohammad Khan and Dr. Anwar. Gulbodin Hekmatyars Hezbi Islami claims that the discluded members were having contacts with other political parties without their knowledge. Please listen to the full report here
