The Barbara massacre occurred on 12 August 1948 in the Charsadda District of the North-West Frontier Province (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) of Pakistan when unarmed members of the Khudai Khidmatgar movement were peaceful protesting.It is reported that more than 600 protesters were massacred and more than thousands were wounded.This massacre is considered a black day in the history of Pashtuns, every year Pashtuns around the world mark this day of remembrance.Islam Gul Afridi has a report from one of the gatherings in KPK, and you can listen to the full report here.
