The Federal Government has unveiled new anti-terrorism laws that would make it easier to strip convicted terrorists of their citizenship. Currently a minister can act if the jail sentence is six years or more. The Prime Minister says greater powers are needed to curb genuine security threats. They're a range of proposed changes to the country's terrorism laws that Scott Morrison wants enacted as a matter of urgency. He plans to introduce legislation into the parliament before the end of the year that would give Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton tougher powers to cancel the citizenship of terrorists.
