Lack of awareness for domestic violence in Australia

A lot of Afghan families have arrived in Australia for protection and a better life. Some find it hard to settle in Australia. Among the new arrivals some families continue traditional practices which, in many cases, are against Australian law, such practice can be name domestic violence. Women's right activist Mrs Shamim Akbar says that there is an urgent need of awareness for newly migrated families about domestic violence and family matters. We have interviewed Mrs Akbar and here is full interview.
