More Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students finishing Year 12

Over 15,000 went on to tertiary study in 2016, more than double the number a decade ago

Increasing numbers of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are finishing Year 12 and going on to further study. 

 

Education groups say the figures from the 2016 nationwide Census are encouraging, but more resources are needed to speed up progress.
