More refugees on Manus Island sent to US

Refugees and asylum seekers refusing to leave the Manus Island centre

The Refugee Action Coalition said that the individuals are all single men of Afghan, Pakistani and Rohingya backgrounds.


Minister for Home Affairs Peter Dutton said in question time that the six individuals had departed Papua New Guinea.The government confirmed that 292 people have now been taken off Manus Island and Nauru to be resettled in the US.
