Over five hundred thousand Afghans have left Afghanistan

The head of the European Union's executive says 22 of the member states should be forced to accept another 120,000 people in need of international protection who have come toward the continent at high risk through Greece, Italy and Hungary.

Afghanistans Ministry of Refugee and Returnees says more than 500,000 Afghans have left Afghanistan and sought asylum in other countries.


The Ministry says despite this tragedy over two million Afghan have returned to their homeland. In recent year the ongoing war, poverty and lack of developing projects have forced caused Afghans to leave their country. The conflict within the government and making of a unity government is another cause where most youth have left the country.
