Tribal leaders play key role to combat opium in Afghanistan

Ministry of counter narcotic expressed their concern over the growing number of poppy cultivation.In order to better counter narcotics, some ministries and government agencies have form a coordination body. The body says that Afghan tribal leaders can play a key role in counter narcotics. The numbers of opium and drug users have also significantly increased.
