Why do Muslims fast?

It’s the start of the month of Ramadan, more than a billion Muslims worldwide fast and worship.


You might know the main important purpose of Ramadan's obligation, but some actions might affect your fasting.

First, it is important to understand why fasting is obliged and who are obliged to fast?  What are the benefits of Ramadaan and the benefits and practices of Ramadaan after the fasting month finished?
