Why don't many Afghans read books?

Afghanistans ministry of culture and information says, many Afghans are not interested in reading books and this is because of the bad kind of politics in Afghanistan.The ministry has named this week the Book Reading Week in order to encourage families to make their children read books.Abdul Rauf Zazai has more and you can listen to the full report here.
