Historian and former Kabul University lecturer Hassan Kakar was a well-known and famous historian. He has written lots of books and articles which are popular both in Afghanistan and with a foreign readership. Kakar has recently passed away and most Afghans, academics, and historians say he is a big loss for Afghanistan.
