International Women Day is celebrated on the 8th of March around the world.


For the first time, women in the city of New York celebrated this day on February 28, 1909. There have been claims that the day was celebrated by garment workers but researchers describe this claim as a myth. This year the womans Day was celebrated with colorful events, and there have been calls on more to be done for the womens rights. In Peshawar Pakistan, this years celebration was different. Women have celebrated the day with Afghan Refugees where they have shown their support for Afghan Refugees and praised their achievements. Islam Gul Afridi has more
