A coroner's inquest into the death of an Iranian asylum seeker has begun in Brisbane, more two years after he died from a treatable bacterial infection contracted on Manus Island in Papua New Guinea. Hamid Khazaei died after being evacuated to Port Moresby and then Brisbane. The coroner will investigate the level of medical care given under the Australian run off-shore processing and how to prevent another death.
