Persian Fairs: showcase of Iranian culture and art

Persian Fair is a unique cultural experience in Melbourne enjoyable for the broad Australian community, organized as an annual one day event to showcase Iranian culture and art as well as promoting the House of Persia Community and Cultural Centre. A day of fun and entertainment at Abbotsford Convent, 1, St Heliers St, Abbotsford 3067 - Melway 44 G5 on Sun 29th May from 10 am to 4 pm.Every year, this event attracts over 2500 visitors and we look forward to seeing some new faces this year!The event introduces the culture through displays of art, traditional handmade items and settings. This is a small part of a bigger picture of dance and music performed by experienced amateurs and volunteers at Arts and Culture Hall.Different types of traditional food, offered at Food Court is a very popular part of the event enjoyed by hundreds of visitors on the day.Market place is the home of products and services presented by both businesses and by volunteers offering homemade and traditional items.
