The detainment of a New Zealand journalist in Nauru after she apparently spoke with a refugee has drawn attention away from an ongoing Pacific Islands Forum on the island. Authorities questioned the reporter after she apparently spoke with the refugee outside a restaurant, which officials say was in breach of her visa. Hundreds of refugees remain in limbo in an Australian-run detention centre on Nauru.
