Omid was born in Iran and migrated to Australia in 1983. He brought the Group Kinetica team together in 2005 and has been working with leading scientists here and abroad to develop many innovative and unique horticultural products.Omid has been a serial inventor and entrepreneur with a passion to make Goodness Grow. He has long held the view that as individuals and as societies, people can only be short-term custodians on Earth. Through his belief that all goodness comes ultimately from the land, Omid has concentrated on improving and creating sustainable horticultural systems for many years. Soon after arriving in Australia, Omid recognised a great opportunity to bring into Australia a range of plant material from his birthplace, the cradle of civilisation - Iran. The similarities in climate and environment made Australia an eminently suitable place for the growing of Iranian-sourced products. By combining the latest technological skills and expertise in Australia with Irans centuries of experience, these crops could be cultivated successfully and be very lucrative for Australian growers. This endeavour became his life-passion and has culminated into several patented technologies as well as many new varieties of fruit and vegetable developed over the past decade.Having lived and worked in South Australia for some 25 years and through his continued relationship with many growers throughout Australia, Omid has a close affinity with the land and sees the opportunity to use agriculture as a means to build sustainable communities in remote Australia.
