Coronavirus arrives in Brazil: first case is confirmed

The 61 year-old Brazilian man was recently back to São Paulo from a trip to Lombardy region, in Italy, epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

He's the first Brazilian with a positive test result for COVID-19 in the country.

It's also the first case of coronavirus in Latin America.

He was travelling in Italy between 9 and 21 February.

The Brazilian man was at the top hospital Albert Einstein, but since was sent to quarantine at home.
