The Red Cross is calling for people of Polynesian, New Zealand Maori, or Filipino background to donate blood. They're looking for a rare blood type to help several patients in need of a specific match.

Lauretta Te Moananui ((te-MON-uh-noo-ee)) has been donating blood as often as she can, since she was in high school.

She says it's because of her blood type.
