Global Communications Lead Alison Hill are this week in the camps near Cox’s Bazar where The Fred Hollows Foundation is screening Rohingya people for eye conditions like cataract, which can be treated with a simple 20-minute operation. Doctors estimate some 50,000 people in the camp are blind –leading the eye health response there to ensure as many people as possible can at least have their sight restored, particularly as the monsoon season makes life in the camps even more difficult.
