The World Economic Forum says it will take over 100 years to close the gender-gap in the areas of health, education, economic opportunity and politics.

Women make up nearly half of the Australian workforce, but only a third are in managerial roles.

They earn 19 per cent less than their male counterparts, and only 22 per cent of directors in the A-S-X (Australian Securities Exchange) top-200 are women.

Researchers from La Trobe University in Melbourne have ound companies with more women on their boards make more money.
