New PBS drug offers hope to diabetes patients

A drug newly listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) promises to improve the life expectancy of patients with type-2 diabetes. Clinical trials have shown encouraging results - reduced blood glucose levels and cardiovascular death in diabetic patients.
