Weekend Sport Wrap

In sport, we've seen another weekend that's given plenty to talk about, both in Australia and around the world. We start with the A-league, and again, it's a case of off-the-field events overshadowing the action on the field. A week after Western Sydney Wanderers fans let off flares and detonators when their team played Melbourne Victory, it's now Victory fans in the spotlight for the wrong reasons. Police say Victory fans let off seven flares before their game this weekend and two during the match. Bottles were also thrown at one point. The poor behaviour of a minority of fans is a sore point for many around the sport; after the match, Victory coach Kevin Muscat made it clear that he, too, has had enough of the troublemakers.
