The Bondi Pavilion Art Gallery is hosting the 'Holding Light' exhibition, bringing together works by contemporary artists who creatively responded to the terrorist attack on Bondi Beach during the Hanukkah celebrations last December. The exhibition runs until June 28 and features 28 works. One of them belongs to artist Yelena Revis, a guest of our podcast.
Artist Yelena Revis lives in Sydney near Bondi Beach and calls this place her favourite. She works with different techniques, uses bright colours, and enjoys experimenting with materials.
In this article, we talk about 'beautiful freaks', 'Alice in Wonderland', symbols in Elena's art, the 'Holding Light' exhibition, and how important it is to keep hope and see the light.
You can view Yelena's artworks on her website. A transcript of the podcast is available below.
