For his first concert, now a laureate of international contests, a piano virtuoso Alexander Gavrylyuk was given a set of toy cars. He then was 9 and it was in Kharkiv. Today he is a citizen of the world and his performances see the theatres packed. Before Alexanders concerts in Melbourne we spoke about the feeling of freedom he found in Australia during his life here when he spent nights playing in a Steinway shop and about many other things.
