The recent press release has advised that an international team of scientists led by The Australian National University (ANU) has designed a new nano device that promises ultra-fast rendering of high-definition graphics on gaming consoles. But as the head of the Nonlinear Physics Centre distinguished professor Yury Kivshar says, to offer options for practical use of this is for the journalists, actually this research is an important step on the way to creating of superfast and energy efficient fully optical computer systems.
